The fact is that no one really knows. Prices could go to $5 or they could go to $2. They could go up or down. And much of the movement is controlled by forces other than logic. Funds get in and out of corn because it's Friday afternoon and the computer program says buy copper.... Personally, I feel with the dollar as low as it is, I think $4 US corn looks very cheap already to the rest of the world.
Much of the movement of prices is really not controlled by facts as we would like to think. My suggestion is to sell a small portion of your crop every week at the same time on the same day of the week except in the harvest quarter. Historically this has been a profitable approach. And you get to sleep nights. You miss selling it all at the top, but you also miss selling it all at the bottom too. Don't beat yourself up about selling, just establish a plan for the future.
