eastern Kansas | competitve markets... prices always over react and go higher than they should and lower than they should. So i think to say we will NEVER see a corn price with a two in font of it or a bean price with a 6 or 7 in front of it would just be silly to assume. However will we see entended time frames of several years where these prices are the norm?? I don't know. My guess would be maybe not. Just ask the hog or dairy guys if it is possible for prices to go well below the cost of production and stay there. I may be wrong but with the prices where they are today for me next year should pencil very well again if i get some stuff locked in and actually raise a good crop on our marginal soils. I just can't believe that this is a situation we will stay in for the long term. | |
