I think you'll be fine. I have a Black Machine planter. I plant 30" corn and beans. If I plant beans after the third week of May, I switch to 15" rows. I would prefer 20" rows, but that requires a 20" corn head and narrow tires on my tractor to spray.
But, since you don't have corn, go for it.
