Grand Rapids, MI | First make sure all the computers are on the same workgroup name.
Then you need to "share" the folder on the "server" machine
Its been a while since I have used 2000, but on XP you would right click on the folder you wished to share across the network, then choose sharing and security, then on the sharing tab choose "Share this folder on the network" then give it a share name.
When you choose "My network places" on any of the computers the shared folder should show up.
Be carefull since anyone on your network can now see that folder, you especially need to consider this in conjunction with keeping your network safe if you have any sort of wireless networking. | |
