6.5' will work good if you want to keep the panel off the ground 6-10" if you are running it on the ground you can go down to 6' and possible 5.5 depending on how hard it is going to be pushed on. We use 5.5 almost exclusively, although just recently I used some 6.5 to get the panel off the ground.
