E.Central MN | Hope he posts back in a year or two when he plows it back down. My neighbor tried rotational grazing for his dairy cows a couple years ago. He saved a little on the amount of minerals/supplements that he was purchasing. But after wet springs and dry summers he gave up on the idea and went back to haylage and silage. He could raise more feed on that land than he could recover by grazing. It might work in a state with a longer growing season than Minnesota and you were close to an organic beef niche market. | |
