| On many laptops between the base unit and the screen there is a very thin ribbon cable that carries the video signal through the hinges on one side or the other. I have seen laptops have problems when the screen is flexed to far open, and others that seem to arrive damaged from the seller. Do you not have a warranty on this? If not, you may want to contact them anyway and see what they would charge to repair it. Or at least a local computer repairman. A guy I worked with had a Gateway that did this from when it was first turned on. It just got worse over time, and had to be returned to Gateway to get it repaired. | |
