And I love it!!  Have a neighbor lady/landlord's wife who mends for a hobby. She will put new fronts in jeans (you know where they always wear thru at the bottom of the front pockets from too many keys, etc?), put in a new zipper (I provide the zipper) and redo the crotch, have them done in no more than a day usually, and charges $2-3 per pair. My sewing machine can rot into a pile at that rate!! :) And yes, my husband will wear a pair of jeans to death.
