That leaves an "open top" upside for livestock long term.
Capitalists profiting to the disadvantage of socialists is certainly understandable and admirable too. After all, it's the capialist minority who do pay or foot the bills for the socialists.
The E deal is/was no different.
Since the highest and best use for corn is E, So be it.
The livestock product is much better off for everyone ( the consumer and the producer ) using alot less corn anyway.
Times are changing, genetics have already changed in much of the livestock which makes highly efficient use of other and more diverse feeds.
