| You are right, and the hog guys were indirect beneficiarys of subsidies for several years when they were buying sub 2 dollar corn for feed because the corn growers were getting LDPs which kept the cash corn market somewhat artificially low. If the hog markets had the chance to follow corn up like they should have everything would be OK but the slow economy, swine flu scare etc. has kept that from happening when it would have been expected. Nobody had a gun to their head when they were putting up finishers like hotcakes the last 5 years. | |
