Subject: you can't blame ethanol for your problems

Lubbock, Texas
1. when people are throwing up hog barns like California throws up tract homes....that is not the fault of Ethanol

2. Ethanol, as I ALWAYS RECALL, was first sold as a home grown, enviro friendly, renewable, answer for MTBE that was mandated by idiots with little research behind it and then vilified by the same said idiots that would also not back away from their idiotic failed clean air mandates.....so the idiots in Washington backed us into a corner that they created and then Ethanol was the only workable (and palatable to idiot jackass politicians of all letters) solution to gas oxygenates (MTBE) as mandated by fools

3. Same said idiots then jumped all over Ethanol as an answer when they saw the chance to connect George Bush and high oil prices and demand a "home grown, renewable, answer"

4. Same said idiots vilified Ethanol months later for starving the poor......you know the poor in other countries that starve in times awash in aplenty and starve in the bad times too......or the 550# starving poor in line in front of you buying ding dongs and grape soda at midnight in lard-mart....with a couple of unruly 220# 12yos

5. You might as well blame big sugar too......if we could import sugar we could make more sugar based Ethanol......we could also make a lot of sugar based colas as well Vs. high fructose, goes bitter, taste like glycol on the after palate, corn crap......we could probably buy a lot of sugar from Cuba and sell them a lot of live stock products in return

6. with no market available for corn at a price that makes money row croppers would switch crops and or go under, or sell out to tract homes......driving up prices eventually

7. While I am sure plenty of farmers are doing well for themselves.....I find most to be more "land rich" than anything else and I don't think anyone but someone in Washington looking for the next person to vilify thinks that row croppers are getting rich.....seriously ranchers accusing row croppers of getting rich......this is where AG has fallen to....pretty sad

8. Corn farmers found a market.....they took advantage of the fools in Washington and the leftist fools that tug their stupid enviro strings......ranchers sit around and let PETA and HSUS get the ear of Washington more and more.....you have also killed the variety of meat and killed the real flavorful forms of animals in favor or filling the "it needs to be this size, shape, and color market"......if row farmers took that same approach they would still be sitting around looking at the wonders of fructose while the media tears it apart......instead they took the next step and suckered the same anti-fructose hypsters on Ethanol

corn and other feed crops might be higher than before, but I am not seeing the farmer in the Lamborghini and Rolls yet....and I sure see a lot of them paying more for fuel, fertilizer, land, and chemicals as well

sitting around vilifying Ethanol and row croppers is going to get you worse off than before....how about working for some solutions other than blaming someone else for finding the highest price for their crop
