Tried a springer spaniel yet? Lots of energy but they do slow down after a year or 2. Very good with children, easy with cattle, and smaller ones like to ride in the cab. We've had a couple and use them for cold weather duck hunting to a mobile package for christmas. Used to have Chessy's but they are huge and kinda thick headed. Not like a springer
