Subject: RE: ILOVECH

Iowa
i have a year and half old black lab "puppy", and he is my best friend in the whole world. when he is first let out of his kennel when i get home at night you would think that dog is possessed, but once he gets over the excitement of me coming home to him he settles down in a hurry. He still has his man parts due to the fact that i will be studding him out once he is 2 years old. Since he still has "them" i think that has made him stay a puppy for a little longer than without "them". he is a born and raised hunter, when i let him out of the truck to go for a run or a hunt he turns all business. sometimes a shock collar is in order because when his nose is onto something you need more than a just yelling to get his attention. other than that he is very well behaved and well trained.....im biased because he is mine and i trained him. when i come home for lunch or nights he lays in his bed and sleeps or chews on his bone. he rarely barks but when he does he gets or attention because its a very "manly" bark. he loves to play with other dogs and the ones that dont want to play with him he leaves alone or they leave him alone, i think he is pretty intimidating to some dogs due to that he is 95 lbs of muscle. He has the big block head that you find in the english line of labs. I was nervous for him to be around kids at first because he hadnt had much experience since we dont have any yet, but when he got around my 5 year old niece that weighs all of 30 lbs he went from the hyper puppy that wanted to play to a gentle giant around her. she would throw the ball he would go get it then bring it back and gently place the ball in her little hand, they stood almost eye to eye and she would hug him around his neck, if i would try that he starts bouncing around like we were going the wrestle around be not with her, was a proud moment for me. i plan to have a lab for the rest of my life, hopefully all decedents from mine. they make for the "best friends" and the "best hunting partners"
theres nothing like going out with your buddy all day then spending the night in the lazy boy with your best friend at your asleep at your feet.
