My dad years ago used to feed cheap mineral and get along fine with it. Now I feed the best I can find and sometimes dont do as well. I think the cattle have changed alot from then. The cattle then were better suited to the area and not as high bred. Gains may not have been as good but what we gained there we lost in reproduction.
