Subject: broken glass in feed

Got a buddy that feeds dairy steers and he was upset the other day as he found a piece of glass on the bottom of a feed bunk.  He is feeding shelled corn out of his bin and distillers with husklage.  Only thing he can figure is that it came in from the wet distillers or husklage.  Anyone ever have this happen.  He is worried there could be more, and a magnet isn't going to do any good for glass.  Would small pieces of glass pass through the rumen without much damage or is he SOL?
