| you can talk all you want about sales history etc... So what would have happened if one of those two beans your so proud of would have failed this yr because of your plot data ???? How would you explained that to your customers if 50% of his acres are in one of those products and its off 10 - 20 bushels or more ??? Who loses in that game you or him ??? You can run all the data you want to I don't care... You need to be looking at your products in plots for product characterisics not only yield.... If the characteristics are right yield will be right with them... then place them correctly not putting too much of any genetic family on any farm operation in to large a % to really hurt that operation if it fails..... Believe me you can have all the data from last yr, two yrs ago, three yrs ago, etc and about the time you "think" you have a product figured out it will "bite" you in the butt.... I don't care what you say with all your data and spreadsheets..... If you are putting more than 15 - 20 % of your customers acres in any one product or genetic family you are setting him up for possible financial hurt that in today's world can't be tolerated... Did you predict how this last spring or this fall was going to turn out ??? IF you can you better be doing something other than selling seed to customers you better be helping the world out of the financial mess its in as you have way more talent than the seed business.... So don't tell me I don't get it as I could say you may not "get" it..... I am not going to codemn you for what you do if it works for you on your operation fine but I wouldn't be using two beans only in mine or my customers...... I can tell you with experience this yr where I live in some cases with White Mold and SDS if you would have picked the wrong beans based off the plot winners last yr or the yr before here you would have been sorely disappointed...... Some people truly are.... It sucks when you watch people harvest 30 bushel beans...... I guess we aren't going to change each others minds thats ok thats what makes this country great so lets just call this one a draw ok ????
