seedsguy, what has selecting larger seeded varieties have to do with yield??
If seed size determined yield than breeders would have them the size of basketballs by now.
I have had the smallest seed size variety outyield large size varieties many times, Case in point our 1.9 bean this year is running 3100 seeds per lb and is dominating plots ,whole field ave ect........ There are many varieties in the 2500 range not even coming close to that bean.
Seed size is not a selection criteria for soybean breeders. Yield is.
