I don't mean to be a smart alec, but I want to be sure that I am understanding what exactly it is you are trying to treat. Are you talking about pneumonia, otherwise known as shipping fever, or is this a disease that I don't know about? If it is pneumonia then the best treatment we have used is Baytril and Banamine. Baytril is a form of cipro(sp?) and is specifically labeled for respiratory problems. When we have had problems with pneumonia before it is when I haven't been able to get the calves vaccinated pre-weaning and they are real susceptible to the stress of weaning. In that instance we give every calf a shot of Biomycin and the vaccination. That will usually stop the infection in its' tracks. Micotil would work, draxxin is extremely expensive so I have never even tried that. I haven't tried Nuflor on respiratory, but I know a lot of guys prefer that to Baytril. Baytril works pretty good but for the price you really don't want to have to re-pull the calves for second round treatment.
