Agco had the rights to the Allis name but was unable to come to an agreement with the Chalmers family for the right to their name. this is why it was changed to Agco- allis , Deutz- allis, and whatever else.
They branded stuff. they tried to keep everyone happy keeping each line separate, White, Massey, Allis ect. they should have just branded everything one name and one color.... and been done with it.
What if .... AGCO had kept the Allis Chalmers Brand going ?
