Push the SPEED CAL button on your Raven 450, note what it says, try entering different numbers up and down from it's current setting until the speed matches your phone.


Yes, this is correct. You say that the speed on the Raven shows 6.5 MPH when you are actually only going 5 MPH. That means the correct speed is about 76% of the speed shown on the Raven. Push the Speed Cal button and note what it is now. Multiply that number by .76 to get a new Speed Cal number. Push the ENTER key and then enter the revised number and then push the ENTER key again to lock it in.

Then drive around a bit and compare the speed indicated on the Raven with your other devices. The speed needs to be accurate for the system to apply correctly. With the number you are using the system thinks you are going about 25% faster than you really are so it will apply 25% more per acre than you desire.

Some have suggested adjusting the output from the GPS speed device which is possible with some brands but not yours. Just changing the number in the Raven should do the trick.
