Have a friend that works at a volvo/mack dealer. When I was looking he told me the VED12 has an EGR on it but that was about all the emissions it had. They can have problems with it and it needs replaced. The VED13 is a newer updated version of the 12 with more emissions. He thought the 12 was better because of less emissions.
