When we bought our 9280 a few years ago, the local dealer told us to stay away from the 9282. Guys that went from 9280 to 9282 were less than impressed. The L10 is rated lower, but pulls a lot better. Not that it's a bad tractor, but an 8.3 is not an L10. Looking at Tractordata.com, the L10 in a 9280 is 10hp less, but 20lbft MORE than the 9282. Not much of a difference but as the saying goes, "there's no replacement for displacement." Our 9280 pulls circles around the Case-IH 9130 it replaced. That one had an older 8.3. Maybe since your L10 is a little older, the newer 8.3 might be better or as good? |
