Yes, you need a speed input for it to show/calculate gallons per acre. Some monitors you can set a speed in it even when sitting still. Nice to check your pattern at the flow/pressure you will be running in the field. Get a Teejet catalog or search it online, it will tell you what you are wanting based on the tips you are using, speed, pressure, and gallons. J
