Subject: RE: IVECO ENGINE LONGEVITY

Southern manitoba
I think they are similar longevity to a cummins. We did a complete overhaul of our t9030 new Holland and it was about 20g cdn in parts plus the head inspection work. Did at 5000 hrs. When we bought our 500 last year at 4000 hrs it had a reman engine because an oil pump puked. 485s have a bad rep for random compound turbo issues. We like our iveco. Pulls great and quiet compared Cummins. Downfall is you have to remove the engine to work on it. We wanted to change oil pumps but had to remove engine for that. So at may as well do bearings and the everything and should be good for the next 5000. Hope this help
