Subject: RE: Flexible toolbars

SW Ia/NW Mo
I don’t know if any have flex down. I just looked at blue jet website they make 27.5 to 42.5’ working width mounted applicators shows 16 degree up ward flex no downward flex on their land runner 3 mounted series. Heartland nh3 3000 does not show downward flex either. When we use to use mounted nh3 applicators we have hilly ground with broad base terrace with fall and tile lines. It was a pain because there was no down flex and we’d have to go over those areas with main part of toolbar. So we went to pull type and it has 16 degree up and 11 degree down but we don’t side dress. I understand why you want mounted to keep the applicator from drifting down hill. So my answer is I’ve never seen a mounted toolbar with downward wing flex. I’ve been farming for close to 52 years.
