Coles County, Illinois | There's probably $600 worth of parts but this kind of sprayer is kinda a dead end. If you like spraying you'll want a bigger tank and wider boom. If you don't like spraying you'll quit using it. My considerable experience with solenoid valves is they need a lot of attention. They sometimes don't open fully and you can have a boom section under apply. Dry booms have so many places for product to collect that make them hard to flush.
What I would suggest is to budget 5 years of custom app charges for a sprayer and water handling equipment. You'll still pay back the expense quickly with the savings on the pesticides.
