Anamoose, ND | It doesn't take much of a grain cart to help increase harvest efficiency. We purchase a older UFT 500 bushel cart about 5 years, paid $3500 for it. We run a 9600 and a 9650 John Deere combine and the 500 bushel cart keeps up well. For us the grain cart increased our efficiency so much that it is almost as good as running three combines. On a good day we will cut 250 to 300 acres in wheat. For bulky crops like sunflowers and corn I can't imagine driving to the truck everytime to dump.
