What do you want to do? What do you want to spend? Do you want XP or Vista? Dell is good as are most of these brands. I would stay away from Acer. If you want to stay with XP you may have to look at a refurbished. Overstock.com has a good selection. I think Dell is offering a "downgrade" from vista to XP. Or you can get a Vista and look for a free upgrade to Windows 7 as it appears to be an improvement on Vista. Most software is compatible with Vista but getting the right drivers for hardware can be a pain. | |
