Idaho | I am making a shank type drill/planter which will use corrigated rollers to meter the seed. I have several choices to drive these rolls.
1. Ground drive with a multi speed gear box.
2. Ground drive to a hyd pump-to-hyd motor w/ flow divider.
3. Tractor hyd drive with rpm's controled by rate contoler.
ie. Raven
4. Electric motor direct drive from rate controler
I've rounded up most of the needed hardware for the rest of the drill at a good $avings. This drive is going to cost $1000 min one way or another. So I'm leaning towards the electric motor which is closest to the plug and play set up, I think.
Question.
Mid-Tech or Raven or another brand or run like a hick to the other options?
Thanks to all and a happy New Year. | |
