Eastern Ontario | When we get into our huge (350a) bean crops ;), we can get by with about 5000 of storage. That way when the cutting is good you just keep dumping into the bin, then you can keep trucks hauling when it's damp out, or if there are combine troubles. I would suggest spending the money you would on some storage capacity. Once you have the freedom of a bin that you fill when it's good and ship when you want, like the above posters have stated, you won't want to go back. For your case I'd say a 20K bin or two would be a good start, even if you use augers to fill/undload the first year. | |
