NW MN | The big phone for At&t is the iphone, but you can still get many others like your standard razor. AT&T uses GSM instead of CDMA. The big question for our area is what is AT&T coverage going to be, a tower with GSM covers less area that a tower broadcasting a CDMA signal. With CDMA already sketchy in the country side how much worse will GSM be? Will AT&T put up new towers to cover the new gaps? AT&T still needs govt approval of its buying of Alltel assets, then another 6-12 months after that before the Alltel-AT&T switch, so we are looking at this time next year before AT&T is up in running in ND and NW MN. | |
