Ill admit i got a cold chill and a slight feeling of Deja-vu. My grandfather was an avid coffee club member as we called it at the local Fertilizer/seed store for many many years. When he became sick, much like your friend and was no longer able to attend the meetings in the morning. his friends did exactly what you did and came to his house and had coffee an conversation. I was very young then, 14 or so, but I will never forget the look on his face, it was pure excitement and joy that his friends would come see him the way that they did. to this day, the members of that group that are still around will mention time to time about the day they came to his house (which is currently my house) and spent the morning drinking coffee and reminiscing of old times. You have done a great thing for your friend and no doubt made the last of his time on earth a joy! | |
