EC North Dakota | My grandfather was in great shape until 93. Then he started failing fast and decided it was time to go to a home which was, to him, the end.
We were all down to see him one morning and pretty somber about it all, grandpa says...how long will it take if I quit eating. The whole room full a people went silent. My uncle says...well, I made it 3 hours one time!
Grandpa laughed.
The last thing he ever said to me was.....how’s the corn? Are we (he and I) going to make any money this year?
He lasted 1 day in the home, 1 more than he wanted. | |
