I don't know what all JD "AutoSteer" consists of, but I can tell you that Trimble autopilot powered by AL Insight controls the JD steering valves in combines/tractors just fine. Hook up & go. Not sure about compatibility w/all JD wiring as other poster mentions.

As for the money end, I don't know. You probably need to pick one direction or another & go. I guess as long as you're sure everything will remain all JD forever, then OK w/JD electronics. If you'd like to utilize same monitor-autopilot in other brands, then I'd say go w/AL-Trimble. We're happy w/ours.
