Bow Island, Alberta | It is a very scenic location, but as with a lot of scenic locations, it's a long ways from anywhere.
Even by Western Canadian standards, it's quite remote. By my calculations, its 46 miles, mostly gravel road, to the nearest school or grocery store in Canada. I think there is a small post office and school about 20 miles away in Montana, but that border crossing is only open 9 am to 5 pm and is also gravel road all the way. | |
