Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Since I'm not involved in Sales or familar with the Midtech products, I'm not able to answer most of your questions.

We have customers who plan on using Omnistar with EZ-Steer for planting corn in strip-till situations. The thinking is that the planter will tend to follow the strip-till which should help the situation.

There are two options with Omnistar - XP & HP. The way to keep them straight is to think of HP as standing for Higher Performance (also Higher Price). I personally used an Autopilot system (Not EZ-Steer) with XP for most of my corn planting, all my Soybean planting and Fall NH3 application. I was happy enough with this combination that I do not plan on moving up to HP.

I have no personal experience with EZ-steer and planting. I do have an EZ-steer system in another tractor which works fine for its intended purposes of tillage and manure. My EZ-Guide/EZ-steer is using the built in GPS with WAAS.
