WC MN & Valley of the Sun, AZ | For clarity at 18x type magnification, the scope will be $1,000 to $3,000+.
Unless you're shooting a mile, 18x is complete overkill. A quality 8x would be better.
Have a 1-6x Primary Arms on my 3-gun rifle and it's a tack driver at 500 yards.
To answer your question, what is your budget? $300? $500? $1,000? More? What distances are the targets? Critters or stationary paper?
