Subject: Unanswered prayers...being thankful.

Texas
Just like the song written and recorded by Garth Brooks, over time I’ve learned to be thankful that certain prayers weren’t answered the way I wanted. There are details a person has no way of seeing into the future to gain understanding. You may think you know all that’s necessary. Often times it seems our wants (& needs too) at the time are too great to want to consider a different outcome. Failure or lack of success in an area is not easy to swallow. I can sure vouch for that.

If I had gotten my way it would probably have ended in huge disappointment. My intentions were good, but even so, it’s sometimes for the best that situations end the way they do. When I was a kid there’s was an opportunity to have been used in tv commercials. It may or may not have led to even higher paying gigs. But it could have cost me my childhood and ended up being a disaster. Money isn’t everything. Gain the whole world and lose your soul.
