Truth be told, none of us will be remembered very long after we pass. Sure your friends and neighbors will remember you for several years. Your extended family for a few more and your close family for all of their lives. But over the course of time we will be no more than a name on a tombstone.

There is a place where you can be known forever. That's where I want to be.

'twill soon be past.
Only what's done
for Christ will last." -Charles Studd

I disagree

My mom grew up across the block from where I now live. She still tells stories about how as a tike her school bus got stuck very close to what is now my house. The couple that had my house before me also had kids on the bus the lady opened jars of canned meat and made a meal for the kids on the bus while they waited for the bus to be removed from the snow drift. Going up and down the road I can think of snippets of the old timers. My dad has been gone 41 years occasionally I will still get comments hey I remember this or that about Ron.

My mom remembers details about the past and folks very very well her sister remembers none of it.
