They can meet their needs but by expanding SA production they will add supply security in the future. What we've come to understand about SA crop weather is that as they expand north & into the Amazon they spread out their weather risk and production becomes more reliable. Previously soybean production was concentrated in the south. As in the US, it's rare that both northern Brazil and Southern Brazil experience adverse crop weather at the same time.
