| I do not doubt that we are the center of the bullseye.
Here we ran for one (1) day.. I was hoping for 0.15" or less.. we got 0.60" and it looks like 2" just totally saturated.. There are places where you can walk.. and later there's water in your footsteps.. the soil is THAT Saturated,, Last year we turned 4 pivots of Corn around.. one year my neighbor turned.. like 12 or 15 around..
This year? Lol.. not going to happen..
This field is a pretty obvious PP candidate.. 45 acres under water.. in the middle over 3' deep and it does not drain.. we're at the bottom of the draw..
Last time it took about 45 days to dry out.. and that was during the summer.. some mudholes/Lakes.. are as big as guys can remember..
"back in the 1980's.. might have been bigger... but not sure.. Never really seen it this high before.."
Take the PP $$$ and call it a year.. We can also PP on 20% or 20 acres per field.. add up a few mudholes/lakes and some other fields will get partialed out PP.
That appears to be the New plan this morning.. and yesterday's plunge during this down period sealed it!!
edit add: the 2nd picture is going down.. and the 3rd actually did drain.. but THAT is how it looked last week.. the Lakes are smaller now.. but still here..
the Flooding in the Fall of 2018.. that's how it will be remembered for us..
