The article says "The two own a 16-acre property..." Land ownership is sort of a misnomer. When you "buy" land, you merely purchase the right to lease land from the government. The lease is subject to whatever arbitrary rules the government wants to impose, and also subject to paying the rent(taxes) on that land. Not really complaining, it's just the way it is. Just a random thought I had when reading that article.
