Braham MN. | It was pretty cool to see. The hinge looked like it was from the super 70 series 2+2's, 7288 and 7488, which used the same trans/rear end as the 5x88 IH tractors, which is also the same as the 71xx, 72xx 89xx. So it was basically a bolt on piece. Oddly there are no casting numbers on any of the hinge parts..
The exhaust passed vertically down through the hinge, there are some cast pieces that pivot to get the exhaust to the cab. Looked like a nightmare.
