Subject: Dirt Farmers -----------------

Indian Territory
Here, a sod buster would be finding a new place to live or be in a hole in the ground if cattle/sheep/goats/ branded dogs were shot or harmed. Must be piss poor sheriffing going on in the dirt farmer states.

Habitual offender animals are gathered with sheriff supervision and held in impound until damages are paid. If animals are not claimed within the time set by sheriff and court they are hauled to yards, sold and money divvied out.

If cattle get out on a major or minor highway the Highway Patrol will stand by with as many units that are in the area to alert other traffic and try to contain until
capture or movement of the offending animals. It is part of their job description.

This State is a cattle and grazing location. If a dirt farmer was to take such action as to shoot or poison and the law did not reap them then I'm perty sure that everyone that had one cow and two goats would be laying for them.
