Oates hay question (for next year)

If I plant oats and cut for hay, how long of time frame am I lookin at. 70 days? What is best stage to cut for hay?
I am wondering would sorghum sudan work behind that and would I have to spray off oats so it doesn't compete with the sudan?
Trying to get a plan together for next year.
