western iowa,by Denison | I agree-you are comparing two feeds that have totally different end results-your ration was not hot enough-and lot of times earlage changes with amount of trash-we spike are ration at 50 % high moisture corn and 50% earlage on last 100 days-on beef cattle-excellent feed in grower ration-you do have a cost on your combine-but at $50 acre for earlage-the return is not great -We charge $70 for earlage a acre-depends if you need the xtra feed-your high moisture corn looks great-it is more forgiving on moisture then earlage | |
