That stinks...as dry as it's been might have been a safe bet. Those days are total time killers and then the stress on people and iron...bad things can happen. Glad you got it out...park that one in the memory bank for next year...lol!!! When he asks, politely smile, decline and carry on!!!

Told the guys one time..."There's 48 end rows. Start on the inside 12 and work over to edge carefully. Whatever you do...stay on the corn stalks and out of the grass in the muck."

So what do they do??? Start on the outside 12, gets a little greasy so we make a hard right turn right out into the grass (Houghton muck). A floating sinkhole looking to swallow your tractor whole. And that it did...they called me and asked me what they should do..."Listen to me and believe me next time....click." Took them 4 hours to drag it out. Almost had to call the big wrecker and excavator. Glad I wasn't there or I'd have gone nuclear.
