I just bale behind the baler, don't rake. 8 row head bale left two rows going east, then do a U turn and bale the others. Leaves some fodder for ground cover, hard to get rocks in the bale that way too. Bale with a 459 Deere. Put extra wrap on (maybe 4 wraps?) Keeps well, but I don't bale a bunch and only use for bedding, although they munch on it too when I spread it out.
