Just inflation adjustment on that price staying flat is sickening.
Same thing in tobacco. $1.70 per pound in 1980’s, $1.70 now. Inflation adjusted, just to match the $1.70 then, we should be getting $4.71. That doesn’t account for fuel prices, fertilizer prices, labor prices, insurance prices, taxes, all of which have gone up.
I have a lot of respect for the dairymen, and I always wanted to be one myself. But the future is not looking positive. I hate to see it happen.
