SW WI | First pic: calves that we received 10 days ago. Just a quick pic from tonight. Off to a good start health wise. A little disappointed with variation in wt.
Second pic: roller mill working. I can crack corn and send it out to my truck or run it back in my feed room to a stationary tmr, add meal and mineral for hog feed.
Third pic: loading truck to take to steers for the mixing at that set of buildings.
More information: my silo is empty of hmc, my Grinder Mixer is down....lots of feed that needs to be taken care of. So I put a few thousand bushels of dry corn in my harvestore to run thru the roller mill. That takes care of my steers and the hog barn you see. I have another barn of market hog so they are smoking thru the feed. Soooo....corn thru roller mill into grain cart, then dump corn into tractor tmr Mixer, add meal and mineral, need the yellow auger you see loading truck or cart out at that barn to load feed bin....so must have grain cart full for not as much jockey around.
Same crack fits all....not ideal but am running it that way
